Hello, my name is Steven and I tend to describe myself as a multi-media 2d artist, who likes to dive into the world of making paintings, drawings, interactive art, installations, image manipulation, and digital art.
If I create a piece of work on a real-world topic, I encompass myself in the research on this topic to fully understand it and to pass this to the viewers through the language of creativity. The topics I feel passionate about are feminism, self-love, empowerment, world peace, LGBTQ+, and my love for extraterrestrial life. My work has been and continues to be a self-love journey for me and the viewers of my work.
My work carries a colourful, distinctive, grungy style with a contemporary, digital, and pop culture influence. I like to take risks when creating artwork, that questions my own and the viewer’s perspectives and ideas. I use my creativity to self-express my loud, bubbly, and friendly personality, my identity as a proud queer artist, and how I see the world around me
When working as a participatory artist, I like to make time with getting to know my participants, who they are as individuals, and what they want with the time they have with me. Whether this is making their environment a more welcoming space, learning how to do something creative, or a space to talk whilst making.
